I have been a mental health professional for over 25 years. I have trained and worked in community mental health centers, hospitals, therapeutic schools, public schools, and private practice.
I provide psychotherapy and neuropsychological evaluations. I work with children ages 6 and older, adolescents, and adults.
I am neurodiversity affirming in all aspects of my practice, which means I value and accept the many ways in which individuals think, process, and perceive information.
In psychotherapy, I emphasize strengths developed through each client's unique history. I help individuals make connections between their emotions and behaviors while noting the important influence of relationships. I draw from cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other approaches such as family systems theory. Together, we explore emotional and behavioral patterns, identify healthy alternatives, and pinpoint useful coping tools.
Neuropsychological evaluations provide an opportunity to formally understand client's capabilities, academic skills, emotions, social interaction, and needs. Personalized recommendations help each individual attain greater success in their school, work, and/or community settings. More information is provided here.
I have a doctorate from Northeastern University's combined school psychology and counseling psychology program. I also have a master's degree in counseling psychology from Boston College.
I am a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts and New York. I am also a licensed Massachusetts school psychologist.
